As one of the members of the OGP – Local Program, the Provincial Government of South Cotabato was invited as one of the participants to the Open Government Partnership Global Summit on May 29-31, 2019 at Ottawa, Canada.
One of the major events, the Local Open Contracting Initiative Event was participated by the Provincial Government of South Cotabato, represented by Ms. Jennifer Carisma Bretana, Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator and Point of Contact of SC-OGP. She also shared the experiences of implementing Open Contracting in South Cotabato.
Ms. Jennifer C. Bretaña also was one of the panelists for the Impacts, Challenges and Opportunities for Open Government: Creating and Implementing Co-creation Commitments event on May 31, 2019. She discussed South Cotabato’s co-creation process in developing its action plan and how this plan will help in reducing poverty in the province.
